Nero only burns at 1X? I have a 4/4/32 burner.

I upgraded my Win 98 to Win Me and now Nero will only burn at 1X? Anyone have any ideas on why. I have uninstalled then reinstalled and it still burns at 1X. Write me or respond here.

You could try to have the DMA enabled or disabled (dunno if this helps)

And maybe have the latest ASPI

I had lots of problems burning with Nero any faster than 1x. I now do everything at 1x. It's slow, but you do get the best output and a really clean and precise burn.

Above all, regarding this issue, it will work then.

Don't know what causes it, just know how I got around it. Also in Nero v5(23), I had issues with losing the audio track when you ffwd scan, etc. This I remedied by encoding in Joint Stereo, rather than just Stereo. Don't know the differences. Again, it just works now without problems.

The DEMO version of Nero is limited to 1X burning. Most burners do burn faster than 1X reliably. Also depends on the quality of your media if you're burning faster than 8X.
