  1. I use DVD Shrink to get a DVD-9 onto a DVD-5 but the software "copy to DVD" trial period is over and the same with "Pinacle Instant Copy" the trial is over. Is there any freeware out there and what is the best to use just to burn a .IFO file? Preferbly software that has unlimited trial time. DVD Decrypter does not burn a .IFO file or I don't know how. Also is there any freeware that does all the compression and burning in one program.
    Thanks,

Make sure you have DVDShrink put your files into a DIR called VIDEO_TS and put that DIR in another DIR called WHATEVER you want to call it. For this example let us call it DVDMOVIE

OK so you have a DIR called DVDMOVIE and in that DIR you have DIR called VIDEO_TS and in the VIDEO_TS DIR you have your DVDShrink output (the VOB and IFO and BUP files etc.)

Now all you need is two FREEWARE programs. ImgTool and DVD Decrypter. Run ImgTool and select the DIR that your VIDEO_TS DIR is in. So in this example you select DVDMOVIE

Now run ImgTool and it will create a single IMAGE file with the name you give it. It will look like this ---> FILENAME.ISO

Now start up DVD Decrypter and put in a blank DVD and select ISO MODE ---> WRITE

Now select your IMAGE ISO file and burn it.

    End of story.

    P.S.
There are at least two different version of ImgTool and you want the one called CLASSIC VERSION. The other version requires that you have NERO installed as it uses the NERO burning engine which is NOT the best DVD burning engine around. So better to stick with the CLASSIC VERSION as it does not need or use NERO at all and works great.
