i had that idea a while ago, but the guy who put the template up? why use a video bitrate of 300kbps? whats wrong with 1kbps? does your DVD player not detect it as an ordinary file with such a low bitrate?

what do you need an audio VCD for. any decent DVD player can play audio cd's anyway. seems pointeless really

VCD2.0 actually fully supports audio only MPEGs in the segment area. There is no need to create a dummy video track as well.
VCD Toolkit can do this (freeware) and so can VCDImager (freeware).
Yeshi, you've missed the point. Creating an audio only VCD with MPEG-1 Layer 2 audio allows approx. 6 hours of near CD quality audio on a single disc. If properly authored (that is, with VCD Toolkit or VCDImager rather than the aforementioned template) it should play in most VCD compliant devices.
