  1. I just noticed that I was able to burn a VCD using Nero that contained both an .avi file and a .mpg file on another track. I thought that Nero was only able to burn VCD format using mpegs? If this isn't the case, why would I convert my .avi's to mpeg using TMPGEnc? Why wouldn't I just burn them straight to disc as .avi's? Now, I'm guessing, but mpeg's are probably a better quality than .avi's right?

    Cheers

  2. Actually, I believe NERO converts the AVI to MPEG, before burning to the CD; that's why you'll notice it takes longer. They say that TMPGenc produces better quality MPEG's than NERO.

    Whykeekee,

I say: so look at your .avi file SIZE and the .mpg file SIZE(after conversion).
A simple video track music (about 5 minutes) has 1~1.5GB and the same video music will take only 60~90MGB after encoded with the same quality.
    Bye.
