Hello,
How to put an introduction video (say video company or created by...)
before the main menu with TMPGEnc.DVD.Author ? So the flow as soon as the DVD is inserted will be
1. Intro video plays
2. Display main menu
3. Select play movie or select chapters.
I have tried changing the themes but couldn't find the right one.
In some, the introductory video appears on the main menu.
Please write any ideas or help you might have.
Thanks

Looks like:
In FIRST PLAY ACTION - top right button
"Display Main menu"
The Main menu is displayed when the DVD is inserted.
"Play all tracks"
Once all tracks and chapters have been played the Main menu is displayed.
>>>>"Play only first track"<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Only the first track is played, and then the Main menu is displayed.
"Play all tracks" is set as default action. There's no place like 127.0.0.1

DvdAuthor does not allows you to do that. Try Ulead DVD workshop. It's
what you want. Just as easy -
I use DVDWorkshop, and yes, it has the handy First Play slot.
But according to my post above, which was copied right from the progs help files, TmgencDVDAuthor can also do it, though it is a bit more hidden.
I DLed it just to see. :c)There's no place like 127.0.0.1

You are absolutely right Gees. I only use Tmpgenc DVD Author and was pondering how to play a track before showing the main menu screen, and only just tried this feature myself this week. Works perfectly.

Thank you for the confirmation. :c)

Woah Drakng, not sure I'm up to doing demos I'm a relative newbie round here I mainly just search this great site for answers to my problems!! I occasionally chip in with something I might know a little about (as you can see by the number of posts I have made this is not often
)
If you just want to put several mpg's into one item to play immediately the DVD is inserted in the player you can simply add several clips in the "First Track" in Tmpgenc DVD Author "Source Setup", using the "add file" command. My advice here though is keep the clips short we all know how tiresome it is waiting for commercial DVD's to get to the main menu!!! I kept it all down to around 35 seconds.
You can see the "Firstplay Action" drop down box from which you can select "Play only the first track" option in the left hand corner in the "Create Menu" section.
However if its editing several clips together using Ulead VideoStudio you are after it really is very simple to do. I included making some titles with this also which really adds a nice professional looking end result. Believe me I'm no expert so if I can do it.... Trial and error is the best way.
Try making a DVD with a few very short clips (a few mins each) and then creating the AUDIO & VIDEO folders with TDVDA, then try playing it with WINDVD etc on the PC. A great way of testing what the end result will look like without wasting a lot of time.
Hope that helps a little.-------Aldershot Town F.C--------
