I just bought a new Dell PowerEdge 400sc with P4 2.4 800fsb which has an AGP 8x. I am looking for a decent Video Display card with capture function so I can convert mainly VHS tapes and 8mm camcorder tapes to DV to burn to DVD.
I don't play game at all and I can only afford for up to $150 at this time.
Thank in advance.

You'll have none of the issues you'll have with a conventional card.
I'm about to buy one myself, having used an ATI Radeon (superb BTW, but time to move on) for the last twelve months.
The canopus is a time base corrector, and transfer's the footage to digital to the PC via firewire, rather than suffer the problems associated with conventional captures.
Willtgpo, my real dad, told me to make a maximum of 5,806 posts on vcdhelp.com in one lifetime. So I have. -
Thank Will Hay. I will probably wait for a few months to have enough $$ to get the Canopus ADVC-100. In the mean time I just get a cheap decent VGA card at this time. Thank again for your input and thank you DVDRHELP site for all the valuable information.
