Subject's self-explanatory ... VOBsplitter is useless to me, because I need to actually SEE what I'm splitting ... how the hell is anyone supposed to cut out part of a VOB file based on bytes anyway??

BTW, I don't want to have to re-encode anything; I just want to say "Start at THIS frame and stop at THIS frame," go take a leak then have a new VOB file .... can't be THAT complicated, can it?

It's far more complicated than you will ever probably know.

If you really have to do that , You need to convert to AVI and re-encode
    afterward.
Ulead editors can do it , or you can use Vdub.

Chopper XP only claims to be able to get within 1 second.
DVDShrink will do it but won't get within a frame either.
I have had problems with MPEG2VCR (and everything else almost)
when the video is NTSC Film. with A/V sync .

Where do you get the free trial of MPEG2VCR from? I have only ever seen Womble offer a free trail of the MPEG1 version, which is bugger all use if you want to test it on MPEG2 files!!
