  1. I wanted to encode three avi. files at a time but Nero wouldn't let me.
By the time it gets to the second file it display "unknown mpeg encoder error" and the project aborts. Can someone tell what to do. Thanks

Use Video Studio to encode all three files at once. Then have VS encode the file, or use your favorite burner with IfoEdit.

General consensus here is: don't use Nero to encode. Try TMPGEnc (freeware) or MainConcept MPEG encoder - they both have batch processing for MPEG conversions. Use Nero to burn after encoding with one of those programs.

Frameservie the MPEG to TMPGenc through Vdub with the Delogo
    filter.

  10. no, there is nothing wrong with the file, it's just that after it finish encoding it has a logo on the topleft hand corner. I want to get rid off that.

That's your solution right there. It's a watermark which will disappear when you register.

don't feel bad I hardly ever understand what Foo is talking about.

and it was a joke because you would be encoding the video twice at that point.. once would put the logo on there, then you would remove the logo with virtual dub and reencode with tmpgenc which doesn't add it's own logo.

Hmm.. I wonder what would happen if you ran delogo and frameserved back to the original encoder? That's like one of those are the stairs going up or down visual puzzles.
