  1. I have plenty of GB space but for some reason my captures always stops half way through because it hits 3 GB. I am using a WinTV USB for capturing and it only captures in avi which is fine except the file sizes are huge and I don't like using filters because the quality of tapes I'm using is not the best and the compressors make the file look really pixilated. I want to use no codecs, but the file gets too big. Is there a way to make the capture not stop when it gets that big?

Guns don't kill people, people kill people, guns just make it a lot easier.

You need to find a capture program that will do segmented captures.
    Try VirtualDub
No file larger than 4Gb can exist on your disk, and many programs
    will have trouble with 2Gb.

If you want larger files you will have to change to Window 2000 or XP.

You may not want to go throught all the trouble.
NTFS is a file system that supports very large files.
You would have to change your operating system
to get it because only Win2000 and XP support it.
