i backed up pulp fiction to my hard drive with dvd shrink. played the film from my hard drive with win dvd. excellent backup, whole film copied.(used dvd shrink versin 3 beta 5). film is compressed to 4.37 gb.
Problem is that when i copy it to a dvd-r with copytodvd, only 4.35 gb is copied. Result is that the last 5 minutes of the film is missing. I have 9.84 gb of free space on my drive before copying pulp fiction onto it.
can anyone help me. do i need to change the settings of copytodvd?

This happened to me quite often although I'm not a big fan of DVDShrink. But it's the same with DVD2One; it's setting has to be 4440 for it to work with CopyToDVD. Don't ask me why they all count differently. They just do. Actually with CopyToDVD I'm most comfortable with 4.34 Gig. That way I don't have to force the drive or the media to write to every last usable sector. And I have never noticed any quality loss. Plus, less coasters that way.

Nero is piss poor for burning DVD's.
I prefer RecordNow MAX, but to be honest there's a nice addon for DVD Shrink (BurnAtOnce maybe?) that lets you dump right to disk.
