  1. I am trying to encode a DivX clip into a SVCD using LSX MPEG Suite. When I try to input the clip (following vcdhelp.com's instructions), LSX says the file is "corrupted or incorrect file type". The clip still plays fine in WMP 7.0.

When I installed LSX, it asked me if I wanted to d/l WMP 6.4. Since I already had 7.0 I said no. Is that the problem?

  2. No, not installing WMP6.4 is not a problem. It sound like you don't have decoders for DivX, if you can see those files then it means you have codec, but you don't have decoder. It happened the same to me with Mjpeg, I had to buy the decoder. May be you can find DivX decoders for free on the net.
