  1. Hi,

    I used to be able to do a straight conversion from avi to DVD mpeg2 with Tmpgenc, choosing all the settings in the template profiles for NTSC DVD.

    I would choose mpeg2 video with PCM audio, and Tmpgenc would encode both streams and automatically multiplex them and I'd have a finished file that I could burn in a DVD authoring program.

    Now, with 2.59 Tmpgenc forces me to encode the two as separate streams and WILL NOT allow me to multiplex them together within the program. Anyone else having this problem? How can I fix it?

    Thanks,
    Justin

  2. You should NOT multiplex:

    m2v + wav -> MPG
    m2v + ac3 -> MPG

    MPG files are suppose to have mp2 audio only. Generally speaking most authoring programs what you to author from elementary streams. Are you sure that TMPGenc was multiplexing m2v + wav, and not encoded to mp2 audio in the past?

    At any rate, I would jus author from the elementary streams. As an aside I would encode to ac3 to save space for future encodes.
