  2. I made a few coasters due to this.

It has something to do with a driver/hardware/media issue.... in other words could be anything..

The solution I found was to get the latest version of Nero, curently 6.0.0.19 and drastically use a clean installation of Windows (I have dual boot of XP so no big issue using Drive Image), try having a barebones OS install as 2nd, works wonders.

After this I have had no problems, I think it could be a possible driver conflict or software issue, because Nero was working fine until I installed more software on the OS.

In other words be careful what you install it could cause conflicts.

I dont know of a way to retrieve the data on the DVD, it tends to not be readable in a DVD-ROM drive also.

    EDIT:
Sorry I was thinking of my other Nero favourite "Invalid block address...Could not perform end of Disc-at-once" and thereby wasting a disc.

Two ways to solve your problem..first find a reliable Nero version, again 6.0.0.19 seems to work well as does 6.0.0.11, but not 6.0.0.15!!

Use Ifo-edit to make sure all links are correct in the structure of the disc, i.e. that a link is not made to a file that doesnt exist.

Stick it though Nero when done and all should be fine.

You can read these discs in a DVD-ROM with DVD-Decrypter, do it in file mode, rip all files, use Ifo-edit, burn with Nero.

    Problem should be solved.
