Hello
i have been trying to convert vhs tapes into AVI files and i has been going well with good video quality but i cannot get any sound
i am using a hauppage win tv go tv card with a TV/Video combo and i am connecting them by a scart to L,R Audio and composite converter but i need to know where to plug the audio connentors into my sound card

you need to plug them into the "Line In" jack.
if you plug them into the "Mic In", the signal will be boosted and probably distorted, as that connection expects a much lower signal than the line-level signal your VHS will put out.- housepig

Line-in. Also, make sure it's un-muted in your mixer control.
Something to remember, jsut because you hear it from your speakers during capture, doesn't mean it's being recorded. Do some short tests to get your sound levels set first!To Be, Or, Not To Be, That, Is The Gazorgan Plan
