Hi all. Converting a .mov file into a svcd with audio @48000Hz I get the following warnings

INFO: [mpeg2enc] GOP min length too small to permit scene-change on GOP boundary 24

    what does it mean?
Several SVCD I have made in this way present a strange effect on my home dvd player. The video is stopped for very few fractions of second. is it normal?

    Thanx

just out of curiosity, did you try mpeg2 export from quicktime pro?
if its playable in quicktime it should export to mpeg2 nicely.

but ffmpegx should also be able to handle this file.

This is a minor warning. It means that some frames are not optimized because of a scene change inside a GOP. You can often ignore it.

This is a good option for creating DVDs, however the mpeg2 export from Quicktime doesn't support SVCD image size, so it can't be used to make SVCDs unless your player support non-compliant SVCD image sizes.
