  1. I don't really have a problem, but I have two files that equal one movie, they are MPEG3's. If I wanted to convert them into MPEG2, it would take up most of the DVD+R Disk, but was wondering if there was any way possible to convert them into atleast half the size of the disk without such a dramatic loss in quality?

    Sorry ??

You'll have to provide more information, you're confusing us .........

Install AVICodec or GSpot, these will tell you exactly what codec is used for video and audio, even if its not installed on your system

Obviously AVICodec only works fir AVI filetypes, GSpot should detect virtually any movie based filetype, not sure, don't use it that often

  6. AVICodec will work with all video types, MPEGProperties is another good one.
You could try EO Video,it can convert just about anything.
