Anyone know of software that will convert an mpeg2 file at a possible 352x480 to a usable mpeg or avi stream that is also faster than the Trex software it comes with? It gives 4 choices
    1 dvd
    2 mpeg2 PS at 640x480 and 6Mbps
    3 SVCD
4 DVavi which it converts my source to 360x480 48K audio, etc.

It just takes so damn long! There must be something else that will demux this stream and remux it into a proper mpeg stream. Thanks for any help.

I'll try it. Also need to reload DVDmovie factory2 from a hard drive failure, that might work. Mediaplayer plays them, but it also says it is 640x480 or something strange like that. It has taken 2 hours to get to 62% on a PIII 750Mhz machine, and is only about 32 minutes in length. I think I'm going to have to abort because it is getting near time to record another couple of things.

Maybe until I find a better solution, I'll have to let it transcode while I sleep, and all the next day if need be. To bad they didn't make a true mpeg2 stream to begin with.

I think I may have found it. EditStudio 4 has the ability to parse mpeg streams when used with its mpegXS encoder. I have a test encoding right now from the Bungee files to an edited 352x480 at 3000 VBR and converting the audio to 48K for DVD use.
