    i only use it on one machine - but it captures fine in huffyuv and mjpeg and uncompressed

    I'm trying to run it and my capture hardware is MIRO DC-30 PRO under win98se, using its built in MJPEG CODEC. But it says "it cannot initialize this device" when i selected the Mirocaptureseries under capture drivers.

    any info will help

    When I capture with AVI_IO I need to first start my bundled software ATI MMC TV and quit it to initialize my capture card. Perhaps it is the same for you, that you can initialize your hardware using another software and then go back to AVI_IO and capture?
