  1. Is there any diference in how Divx movies are looked like on 42" Plasma vs. regular (rear-projection?) 42" TV? I want to play it from Divx Player 2.5, fullscreen, TV-out from AIW9700.

Thanks for any comments, ideas, links.

older generation 1-2 or so blacks looked awefull on plasma ... but many today are much much better ... most rear screen tvs are crt based (but now many are lcd and even dlp now - but more expensive) ... it really all depends on the models compared as many have a big diff on how they look ...

you dont have to clamp your color levels though ...

Don't most plasmas use a VGA connector too. It would look much better if you use the VGA. If you haven't bought a plasma yet, make sure to buy one with a VGA connection.

many have DVI -- which looks better than VGA , since VGA is the same as rgb .... though both a step up from s-video ... all have component now though (i think) ..

I never see DLP at bestbuy, circuit city, or anywhere for that matter. Has anyone ever seen dlp projectors in a major retail store? (/link?)
