    To get some useful responses:

Go into your original post, click edit and change the subject title to ask a question other than "Help Please". One that reflects what you want to know. Lots of people skip over the ones that just say "Help", even when you've said "Please". :c)

Read about VCD first in the Guides. It is the Top Left Link under "What is".

If that's what you want to do, move on and read the "Convert" Section. From (whatever file type you have) to VCD.

Do searches from this page on "divx to vcd" (for example, if it's a divx file).

Lots of resources here to learn from. And a Glossary too - if you get stuck.

When you run into trouble, ask again and provide all the info on your file (video) type, what programs you are using, and what you really want to do.

    Good luck. Have fun.

And please don't use the word downloaded. Not an appropriate term for this site. Instead refer to it by the type of file it is, MPEG, AVI whatever. And being new is no excuse for doing some research on your own. And you are wasting your time with the files you are procuring.

First of all, what to do depends on what you got (you forgot to tell us) and what you want to do (you forgot that too, but since you mention that you own a Panasonic A310 DVD player, I gather you may want to play your downloaded movie on this). If you take a look in the DVD player compatibility guide here at this site, you'll first of all find that this player doesn't like CD-R (but CD-RW is fine). In addition to DVD, it can play VCD, SVCD and off specs variants of the above. You also mention "cdr cdo r cdr w cd" so I take it you don't own a DVD writer. Your options then are VCD or SVCD on a CD-RW. The advantage of SVCD is the higher resolution (=better picture) than VCD. The advantage of VCD is that you get more movie on a CD (80 minutes, compared to 40-60 min on a SVCD) and that there are excellent free MPEG1 encoders available.
I suggest you read the guides (under Convert, left) for ??? to SVCD and/or ??? to VCD (where ???=the type of video file you have downloaded) and try some of them.
Most guides will use VirtualDub, TPMGEnc and VCDEasy, the Three Musketeers of AVI (which most downloaded movies are) to (S)VCD/DVD conversion.

    /Mats

PS! ...and "downloaded" is not a dirty word. But don't be too specific as to what exactly has been downloaded. DS

Need more details. For instance, what are you going to do once you convert or what format your files are(avi, mov, etc.)? Burn to a VCD or DVD(different formats)? If you want to convert to one of those two, then I recommend TMPGEnc to convert and nero to burn. As long as your two files are the proper format, then you dont have to combine the two...I usually combine them into one because there isnt a pause between two files. Post what you want to accomplish first more clearly and then we'll be more helpful

If you already have the movie converted, you dont need TMPGEnc but you do need something to burn. VCDeasy is one but you can also use nero. Your choice.

As long as your file is in the mpg1 format, you're good to go. Just use something like nero(which I prefer) or vcdeasy to burn.

Don't get confused here: VCD (Video Compact Disc) is the actual CD with video stuff written onto it in a specific manner. If easy x converter (never heard of it) can go from AVI to VCD (which amounts to three steps: encode + author + burn), then fine. "Converting to VCD" may also (incorrectly) mean "convert to VCD compliant mpeg file".
If you choose to just do a mpeg1 file it may mean just this: convert to mpeg1 file, not necessarily suitable for the creation of a VCD.
I again suggest you try to read some guides on AVI to VCD conversion under CONVERT left, before proceeding.

Ohh Brave - you really should go back and re-read everything people have answered already. :c*

Seems you are skipping over some posts without taking in the information they've offered.

6 different people have answered, each with good and valuable info and advice. Now you are trying to post a pic of your program, that no one else uses, and asking us how you make it work.

Start back at your first answer, from yours truly, and try again.

I've looked thru the docs for you, and found that the VCD/SVCD/DVD options create mpeg1/2 files to the corresponding standard, while selecting mpeg1 or mpeg2 lets you alter settings (like resolution and bit rates) that may make the mpeg not siutable for (S)VCD/DVD authoring. It's not clear if it also can author and burn, but I get the impression it does.
So, to create a VCD, tell this app to do a VCD. If it stops after creating the mpeg1 file, then author and burn this with VCDEasy. If it also authors and burns, then it will surely tell you to put a blank CD in your CD writer at some point. No separate authoring/burning required then.
But don't be surprised if the outcome is not up to your expectations. You need a really good AVI to get a decent VCD, and if Easy x Video Converter really is the one click solution to AVI to VCD conversion it claims to be, I think we'd seen and heard a lot more about it.
For the last time, I urge you to read the AVI to VCD guides found at this site! They will give you an idea of how to do it, and what tools to use.

    /Mats
