Help with DVD-R mutiple session burning.

Evertime i burn data files to a DVD-R, it just won't let me add addition files to the disc the second time. It said the disc already contains data, adding new data to the disc may not work with some drive. The first time i burn it, i did leave the session open. This works with my CD-R's but not DVD-R. I'm using Raxio6.

any suggestions?

I use DLA [drive letter access] system. Available with Record Now Max and/or Stomp along with other burning apps. It allows you to just use a DVD as if it were a big floppy. I have used it for years without any problems. If doing a straight data burn you need multi-session not open session.

PS: Roxio sucks and bumping your topic will not help your case.

I had the same problem with Roxio 6(added files did not show)
Switched to nero 6 and all is fine works like a charm...

I have also tried Nero 5.5, when i first tired to burn the data, it said that once the data is burn, it may not be readable to some drive by adding additons file to the disc.

I think Nero 6 can burn multi-sessions ok, yes it says that it MAY not be readable by other operating systems , but thats just the way it is, its not Neros fault, i think it means Win 95 n early Win 98 so will not be a prob for 95% of people

If you add more files to the disc, the only drive that will read the disc is your original DVD-RW drive.

Are you guys using Nero express to burn? cause i can't anything that let's you burn on the original Nero.
