i have a problem when making a full copy of a dvd in dvd2onex. i go through all the proper steps and rip the dvd to the harddrive, import into DTOX and go through the process of full copy mode, but i get an error when it finishes and a corrupt VIDEO_TS folder.
the error says something like "all files must be imported for full disk copy." but i have imported all files which dvdbackup produced. the # of files in my newly ripped VIDEO_TS is the same as that on the actual VIDEO_TS folder of the dvd so i dunno what this error means.
does anyone know whats going on or what i can do? why would it give me this message after the whole process has completed, producing a corrupt VIDEO_TS?
if anyone can help, please do so, im indesperate need of help.

    are you sure its "corrupt"
    1. what is the file size
    2. does the file play properly in dvd player?
    3. have you thought to burn it to dvd-rw and see if it works?!?

  3. I had a similar problem and discovered that the disk from which I copied the files was dirty/scratched, and so DVD backup did not in fact rip the entire .vob on some of the files.

I cleaned the original and used a better DVD drive and re-copied the files with DVD backup and then DVD2ONE handled it just fine.

not exactly sure, but i think the file size was correct.
and i tried playing it in dvd player, and it was all distorted, jumpy, and it seemed to be out of order. i assumed this meant it wasnt correct so i never tried burning it to dvd. i dont have any dvd-rw and not sure if i wanna give up one my dvd-rs, im a cheap guy. but do u really think its worth trying to burn? or is there possibly anything else that may be causing this? the disk is perfectly fine, its done this on several dvds ive tried. and like i said, its always right after the process totally finishes. help me out if you have any idea whats goin on or what to do...

    thanks

This was a problem with earlier versions of DTOX. Are you using the latest version, or at least v. 1.1x? Versions before that would have that problem if you hide the application or just have it in the background. The output was perfectly usable, but it gave the error regardless. The newer versions have fixed this issue. If the output is corrupt, however, this is a different issue, and I would try ripping the DVD using OSEx in DVD Image format. It takes a long time, but works on DVDs that DVDBackup has problems with. Once you ripped the DVD.IMG to your HD, rename it to .dmg, mount it, and try playing it with DVD Player, and see if it plays correctly. If it does, then Launch DTOX, and set the source to the VIDEO_TS folder on the mounted DVD image, and set it going. Just out of curiosity, does the VIDEO_TS folder that DVDBackup saves to your HD work fine in DVD Player? If not, then the OSEx solution might work.
I like systems, their application excepted. (George Sand, translated from French), "J'aime beaucoup les systèmes, le cas d'application excepté."
