well my problem is this: when i play the VCD that i just burned with nero, the result in my DVD player is just bad. frames skip ahead too fast, leaving the audio behind, playing, while the video is actually too far ahead. what i did was use DVD2AVI to make the d2v file out of the vob files i got using smart ripper. i tried the following settings with DVD2AVI:
1. just a regular 29 fps with regular 48KHz audio
2. forced film 23.976 fps with 48 khz audio
3. forced film 23.976 with 44.1 khz audio
4. just a regular 29 fps with 44.1 khz
then i tried encoding with TMPGENC using these template settings:
1. NTSC film, 23.976 fps
2. NTSC, with 29 fps
then i tried fiddling with the settings a little, i tried different audio settings, different aspect ratios, and i still get the same result.. the video skips ahead too fast for the audio.
help would be greatly appreciated
thanks

thanks for the help

Don't feel bad cuz I have a rca dvd player too and it doesn't play some of the vcd's that I create. But it will play perfectly fine on my APEX 1500's, LENOXX 2003 & INITIAL 9510.
