I would like to know how you would when you bring a film into a authoring program which is in two parts to get it to play continously as if it was joined. Without having to make a link to it like saying part two when it jumps back to a menu. Any help greatly appreciated.

What format is the film in? If you have Video Studio, Ulead Video Server, and TMPGEnc, you would load them all into VS, frameserve them to TMPGEnc, and burn them to a compatible MPEG or AVI file. If not, Virtual Dub can join AVI files provided their attributes are identical.

If the AVI clips' attributes are different, AviSynth can use a script to have your encoder do it. If the files are similar MPEGs, TMPGEnc can also do merges. You have to be a little more specific.
    Hello.

  3. Firstly thanks for the reply. O.K encoded files via C.C.E no probs there so let say I have a complete film but it is in two finished seperate encoded cce files ready to be authored now things seem to have moved on a bit with new programs etc but I have in the past used SpuceUp or maybe even Maestro, the question is how would i join these two end files to run like a complete film without the break.

  4. If the files are MPEGs, you can use TMPGEnc's MPEG Tools to join them.

Okay Gurus, I may need a little help on this one. What kind of files is the poster talking about? Are they MPEG, AVI, RM, or what? If they are MPEGs use Ulead's Video Studio to load them on its storyline and burn from there.
    Hello.

How about jumping from part1 to part2 directly.

  8. Thanks for the replies I know a little about TMPGEnc's (that it is the not the best program to use for encoding) but I will now take a look at it's ability to join my film I hope this does not have any effect on tampering with the quality of the film I have. thanks Ejoc

thanks for your info I would alsways prefer to burn with Prassi Primo C.C.E is I beleive known as being a very good encoder so would TMPGenc be the best program out there to do what I want???

tmpgenc has a section called "mpeg-tools".Under this section, you can mux/demux/cut and join mpeg files without reencoding.
You provide your 2 CCE files and join them to get a 3rd mpg.Be sure to have video/audio multiplexed before joining (sync issues).
