I have recently started cropping my VHS captures in virtualDub 1.4.7 to eliminate the bad edges during captures. But I have started having this weird problem where there are BRIGHT WHITE flashes from the lower right hand corner to hard edges in the image, such as text, or stucture edges, or any hard edge. This happens as often as several times a second, or sometimes with 2 or 3 seconds between the flashes. It renders the capture useless, and this problem does not show in the capture preview window, I only realize it happened when I go back and look at the AVI after. I've discovered if I turn off cropping, the flashes go away. Has ANYONE seen this before? Is it a bug in VirtualDub?

System: Asus CUSL2 Motherboard, Intel PIII 800EB, Asus V7700 DLX (12.90 drivers), 384 Meg Memory, Adaptec 2940U2W with 3 SCSI LVD drives. Running Windows 2000 Pro (SP2), Directx 8a + video capture patch.

Thanks!
