  1. Hi, how are you? I hope this is the appropriate thread for this question, anyways I got a whole bunch of videos on my harddrive,I want to put on a dvd blank.

    Im using this method:

    https://www.videohelp.com/svcddvdr.htm

Anyways, i noticed after loading the converted file that some videos the picture frames are messed up. like the original right side of the video would be on the left and the rest is on the right. Im guessing thats because of the dvd patcher, but this isnt going to appear on the final dvd will it?

    Thanks

You could make a short test DVD, using one or two of your videos using your guide, and burning on a DVD±RW. That way, you will know for sure if your procedure works, doesn't take up too much time, and you do not waste a disk.

Yeah, i dont got now dvd rewrites around at this time, but i tried putting some of the converted vids in Tmpgenc DVD author and they give me a

'A video sequence header is necessary for every GOP in a standard DVD.'

  5. First, the SVCD resolution of 480x480 is not supported by the DVD standard. Support resolutions are listed to the left under "what is DVDR." You can try the header trick to author them thou.

As for the GOP problem, that could be due to a bad encode or other problems, sorry not sure.
