  1. Hi there,

is there any programme that will demux an avi (divx) file ?

TMPGEnc demuxes the file but the output is in mpeg format for audio and video. I want the output files (audio & video) to be in the same format as the original video (For example if the original video has an Uncompressed sound, I want the audio file after demuxing to be in the same Uncompressed format too).. Same goes for the video.

    Thx in advance.

  4. From the faq:

    How do I demultiplex a MPG,AVI,DivX,ASF?
Demultiplex is when you split the video and audio to separate files.

For MPG use TMPGEnc, select File->MPEG Tools, select Demultiplex and open the mpg and hit start. Other Demultiplexer is Womble MPEG2VCR, DVMPEG.

For AVI, DivX,ASF use Virtualdub, first select File->Open Video File to open the video and last select File->Save WAV. If it's a DivX or ASF you maybe want to convert the audio to WAV PCM then select Uncompressed PCM under Audio->Compression and be sure to select Audio->Full Processing before saving.
