My dad and me will be taping a wedding with two video cameras and I was wanting to know if there is anyway to create a multi-angle video where if you want to watch one side or the other just switch my selecting the multi-angle button on your remote. Any suggestions would be appreaciated.

You'd need a high-end (ie.: expensive) DVD authoring program for that. Check under TOOLS on the left and go to DVD Author. Thats takes you to lists of software, comments and prices you can check out.

    Good luck with your project.
    There's no place like 127.0.0.1

Does anyone have a step-by-step process on how to create multi-angles? Starting from what type of files you have to create with which software. Please, I am creating a wedding video with two angles. The videos are already on a dvd+RW disc if that helps.

There hasn't been any guides published on this topic, cuz it's an advanced technique and advanced technique guides to newbies really don't make sense. If you have one of the programs that can do it, the documentation will do a better job at helping you create that type of disc than most user guides could.

That being said, look for some of this info in my past posts.

The video being already on disc will probably hurt more than help. Why?

You have to capture into the computer each of the 2 angles, and they have to match in length. Then when exporting and encoding, alot of other criteria have to be identical also. Having them be already on disc, without understanding what settings need to be identical pretty much dooms them to uselessness as far as multiangle.

Cheapest (legal) multiangle software that I know of is Pinnacle's DVDImpression Pro (unless you're on a Mac and can get DVDSP 2 upgrade). It does the job, but has some bugs/quirks.

    HTH,
    Scott
