  1. Hi.. I am trying to Frameserve an AVI into CCe for MPEG2 Multipass file. I have used both avisynth and V'dub, but CCe just crashes out. I get 4 icons and no MPG. Any help or pointer would be great.
Using CCE2.5 and latest avisynth / vdub.

  8. framserving to cce lite 2.62.01.01 i get the following error:

virualdub 147 - This is not an AVI file

avisynth 1.0 - .avs: Unknown type

I've followed the instructions i could find on here and on doom. Nothing seems to work.
Its gotta be a problem with the frameserving as i can drop the file directly into cce. As i need to resize it first, i need to frameserve.
Anyone been able to frameserve to cce?

No problem for either program to frameserve to tmpgenc.

    I need some help.

    Guys,

    1. Run it through VFAPI first. You can go
    Avisynth to VFAPI to CCE
or VDub to VFAPI to CCE
or pretty-much-anything to VFAPI to CCE.
(I use VFAPI V1.03b - seems to work better)

    2. Also, when searching for topics on this forum, donīt forget to look back in time as far as possible. This subject pops up every once in a while and it was well discussed a couple (3-4) months ago...

    To PNPMan:

CCE 2.62 doesn't accept .avs or .vdr fremeserver files, only avi. With CCE 2.5 both of these work. I think there's a workaround using AVIUtil, check doom's site for more information if you can't access older version of CCE.

    Dazbry:

I don't think you can use VDub for multipass frameserving, but avisynth should work (and should be faster also). You might have to test with different versions of avisynth. You might also want to add "ResampleAudio(44100)" into your avisynth script, I've seen many posts claiming this helps for crashing. And don't encode audio with CCE 2.50 and Athlon based system!
