How do you extract just the subtitles from a dvd? I use DVD2SVCD to back up my region 3 dvd movies. I've used the guide on how to put a dvd movie on 1 cdr. That method works fine with movies that don't have subtitles. Any suggestions and advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

DVD2SVCD can extract the subtitles and put them on your svcd ... its on one of the tabs there ... if you check it off and also check "keep files" you will also have the subtitles in a sep. file ...

also to just extract the subs -- there is heaps of guides and tools on the left for that ..

...or use subrip. I always use SR to rip subs to .ssa format, then use this with VirtualDub or AviSynth (or ffdshow).

Thanks for the replies.....Yes I know DVD2SVCD does subtitles....Is there a guide to using subrip to virtualdub or avisynth? I am trying to convert a region 3 movie to vcd using the fitting a movie on 1 cdr. The region 3 movies have english subtitles....If I use dvd2svcd I don't think I can make it fit on 1 cdr.....I have a TMPGE template that I created called "ONE DISC VCD" by following one of the guides on this site....For movies that don't have subtitles I have fit one movie on 1 cdr by using DVD DECRYPTER, DVDAVI, TMPGE & VCD EASY to burn.

Is there a guide to help me accomplish what I want? Thanks in advance!
