Ok i'm using Bit Torrent to download movies, and i can burn them onto vcd's and watch them on players but because it is a torrent file type, i can't use my vcd editor (authoring) to paly with them, the program won't read that file type. Is there any free downloadable program to change the file type to anything else? Or is there another solution?
Thanks

what do you mean they are a torrent file type? how are you able to burn it on a cd and getting it to work on a dvd player? dvd players can only play mpegs.

bittorrent is another means of file transfer. if you go to www.suprnova.org you'll get the gist of what it is. most of it is illegal downloads (sorry admins for posting the site if it goes against your policy)...to answer the questino of the post. the torrent file you have is probably only a few kb in size. to actually get the vcd from the torrent. you have to have the bittorrent client installed. then you double click on the torrent to start the download. i believe that's the problem you're running into.

I thought that we are not suppose to discuss this kind of stuff here. Doesn't this borderline on warez? Is the forum easing up its policy of giving people advice on how to get bootleg movies? Bittorent is pretty cool, i'm not trying to be a prude. I just thought this amounts to advocating warez.
This is so much fun!

Ok if the moderators act then that is good for them cause they are doing their job if they find this topic bad. Now it isn't the couple kb file i am talking about and i do know how to use bit torrent because i have read the faq and i have used it in the past. The file name itself is the.italian.job.dvd kvcd ntsc-mpg.torrent
As you can see the .torrent is on the end, the file itself is 730mb so again it is not the little download you do to start bit torrent transfer. So if anyone can just help me and give me advice please instead of talking about how this could be against the rules in this forum than i will be much happier, i don't mind the questions without accusations like "if people would just read the faq before posting about this..." So please if anyone can, help me out.

Do you own the commercial copy of this movie? If you do, you are legally allowed to have one archival copy of the movie. If you do not own a commercial copy, you illegally own a copy of this movie. The latter puts this board in an unfavorable position of knowingly helping you commit a crime. We don't want that, so if you feel we are overeacting, please feel free to use another board.
Hello.

LOL!!! Gunter you obviously downloaded a movie that is not even commercially available yet....That movie "ITALIAN JOB" is being released on October 7,2003......I don't think anyone in this forum will assist you with your questions about bit torrent...
It states very clearly in the rules about PIRATE/BOOTLEG MOVIES (MOVIES THAT ARE NOT YET RELEASED ON DVD OR VHS)

As Budz and Conquest10 pointed out, this movie is not yet commercially available therefore what you are doing is illegal.
Please do not advocate warez as it violates the forum rules.
