I am a complete noob so please bear with me.
I want to back up my movies and episodic discs. It doesn't matter if I have to use 1 or 2 dvdr's for a complete backup.I was going to get DVD X COPY Platinum but I am hearing it is buggy. So which should I get and why?
1.DVD X COPY
2.DVDX COPY GOLD
3.DVD X COPY EXPRESS
4.DVD X COPY PLATINUM
Oh and which update should I download for the version you think is best? Thanks.
Or do you think I should use some of the freebies from this site?Remember I am new so some of this burning stuff is bewildering.Thanks.

I would suggest always try freeware, or trialware first. Once you have a program that does what you need, then go ahead and pay for it. That was the idea behind them anyway. I also suggest DVD Shrink or DVDDecryptor.

Hi all.
emperor5, before you go and spend your hard-earned cash I'd also suggest you try DVD Shrink v3.0 beta 5.
Why pay for a software when you can get a better one for free?
The only thing you'll be missing is a burning software, but if you burn to DVD-R(W), you could also use burnatonce, another free and great proggy.
If you want to familiarize yourself with both these softwares:

(I'd suggest you also view the v2.3 guides even though I'd advise you to use v3.0 beta 5)
