  1. It's the first time I've been trying to use it, so if I missed something particularly obvious be nice.... )

I tried MMB on my Mac and the thing simply does not open (no matter how many times I double-click it....); I'm not sure what the catch is, since - for example - FireStarter works fine.

    I'm using a Titanium 12" with OSX 10.2.6.

    Any clue anybody?

    TIA

wow lately a lot of people who just cant open apps recently downloaded

    anyone else see the trend?

    Anyway....
Id say, trash the one you have, redownload it again and try a new one. Hopefully that will get it. You may want to restart after throwing away the old one just to reset your computer. Then try reinstalling.

Perhaps even try a slightly differenct version if you can get your hands on it.

  3. You didn't mention which version of Missing Media Burner you were using? Version .6.0 which is the current version is buggy as hell. It opens fine on my machine and it has many new features but none of them work on my machine. It also unmounts several of my hard drive partitions everytime i open it! The author who I think is a great guy for creating & sharing my favorate burning app doesn't answer emails. So no idea when things will be fixed. My favorate version is .5.0 but for some reason no longer available. The mirror site which is for older versions of his software offers versions .4.1 and .2.0. Get th.4.1 version works great. It is available at:

Missing Media Burner is the app which brought all the functions to a Mac first which Firestarter brags to have done first. It is basicly a rip off of Missing Media Burner with a different GUI. However some files that won't burn with Firestarter do with MM Burner.

  4. Thanks for your answers )

Unfortunately I had already tried to download version 0.6.0 a few times with the same result, and no luck with 0.4.1 either... (

Oh well, seems like I'll have to stick to Firestarter for the time being...

    Thanks anyway.

    Peace

  5. After many months of happy burning, I have suddenly run across a stubborn MMD (6.0). When I hit the start button I get a message AppleScript Error - MissingMediaBurner got an error: Can't continue <event coredosc>. (-1708)

I can't find out what this means or why I am suddenly getting this on every DVD I try to back up. I have tried redownloading MMB but 6.2 won't even open on my 17" powerbook.

What has happened? I can't burn a DVD without the iso image. I also notice that when I launch MMB, I now get something I have never gotten before......choose application. Where is Termimal.app?

Anyone else suddenly having these problems?
