Writing errors with Sony DRU-510a

I have recently purchased a Sony DRU-510A. It worked well for a few films but now a keep getting write errors. I did 2 copies of the same film, first copy ok , second, write error.

I use Nero 6 to burn, Tmpgenc to Author

Firmware 1.0c
Set to DMA mode
Sony DVD-R media

Any ideas?

May be i should try different media since I don't seem to have problems with burning to Sony DVD+RW

Which media have poeple had success with using this drive?

I having been using Sony DVD-R 5DMR47A

I assumed that with a sony drive this would be the best choice to get me started even though they are expensive.

Doesn't seem so.
