Newbie help in making a backup with dvdshrink...

Ok.
Put in a dvd and open it with dvd shrink then when it starts to analyze it, a copy protection error comes up "no dvd sessionkey was found".
Should i use dvd decrypter instead ??

You shouldnt have to.
Try using decrypter to put it on to your HD first and see if that fixes it.
Is the problem with all movies or with one in particular?

It's with all movies I have tried . I use dvd shrink v2.3 and it's a free license. ???
Am I missing something here ?

here is how I do it:

insert disk into dvd drive
let disk play on win DVD for a few sec.
then open disk with dvdshrink 3 beta 5
next I use the deep analisys option
then I reauthor and backup
finialy I burn with nero

I have never had a problem with this method every disk I've done has played flawlessly.

I have done quite a few ripps with both ver 2.3 and 3beta5 now, and never had that problem. I never play the disk at all either, just put it in and open shrink and go to work!

What O/s are you running, I use 2kpro on that system. Also I have power dvd installed, not that it should probably matter.

can any one tell me why i cant reauthor with dvd shrink 3 beta 5, if i select reauthor it doesnt show the files to drag and drop but they are there in version 2.3
