I have burned about 8 coasters with the above hardwre using the following assortment of programs to backup my own DVD's.
(i) DVDXCOPY XPRESS 3.01
(II) Clone DVD using Any DVD to get round copy protection
Both burned using internal burning programs and using NERO 6 on different occasions.
With Nero 6 most DVD's are ok for the first 1 hr or so then I get the "disk may have been damaged" error "to inhibit playback", however using the other programs internal burners some of the DVD's just wont read at all.
Any ideas ? Is this the Drive or the media I am using ?

I have had the same model DVD writer for a week, the only problem I have had so far is, overburning in Nero, never had a bad 90 minute CD using
a Liteon CD burner.
All the DVD's backups with DVD-r's and a DVD+RW have been perfect using DVD Shrink (great software), but I think this writer has problems with CD'R's.
I wish LG was on the ball with firmware updates, LiteON was allways great!.
