I have done a lot of searching on this forum and want to see if I have got this right:
5 DVDs to burn which have been Authored in DVD Architect
Each DVD is of varying lengths between 1.5Gb and 4.3Gb
Have used Verbatim, TDK and Princo DVD media 4x speeds
Newest Pioneer A06 burner with latest flash firmware (1.07)
Computer: 2.54Mhz P4, 512Mb RAM, 4 x 80Gb HD (2 stripped to form a 160Gb disk)
Burn disks with DVD Architect - burn goes well
Play on standalone DVD player that accepts DVD-R, +R, -RW, +RW and the movies play until towards the END of the movie, then movie stutters and then stops and movie cannot be played anymore or Top Menu reached.
Burnt disks using Nero 6.0.15 and same thing happens
Burnt disks with RecordNowMax 4.5 and they play OK?
DOES THIS SOUND RIGHT:
The media is not at fault?
The DVD burner is not at fault?
The software that is burning is at fault? - BUT WHY??? - 2 reputable software makers and it doesn't work????
Also there is a LOT of discussion about having labels on DVDs - would that have caused the stutter/stopping problem???
Your advice to a newbie would be appreciated
