Step by step guidelines for converting ASX (not ASF) files

Can someone lead me to a link or help me out on how to convert ASX files (not ASF) files into mpegs, avi, wmv etc. I checked in the 'convert' section but it doesn't show how to convert asx files it just shows you how to convert asf files. Can someone help me out. It sucks having to connect to the website and buffer the clip just to watch the video. Any suggestions will be helpful. [/b]

an asx file is just a playlist, ie a small text file telling your media player which video files (asf files in your case) to play and in what order...your question implies you are aware the video file isn't on your pc, so how do you hope to convert it to something else?
