I want a software that will allow straight burns. Just like if you had a cd, pop it in and make a straight burn to the blank cd in the other drive. I want to do this with DVDs.
I actually found some better answers. Which of these would be the absolute best program for ease of use and keeping all the features?

No offense, but straight burns. Yes DVDXCopy Express will do that and so will DVDXCopy Platinum which gives you more control. Yes thes are simple programs, but I thing DVD Shrink is even better. More control and its free. But I get the feeling you don't want to do a lot of work so you better just buy DVD XCopy Express. Gives you the options of just movie or entire disk.

Another One button'er.
Pinnacle Instant Copy 8, slightly more than a one button but fairly a brainless approach and worth the time in quality vs DVDShrink, DVD2one and all the others you one clicker seem to like so much, IMHO.
Hell we all want something
For real DVD BU Quality.

My personal choice is anydvd/clonedvd.
This option allows me to use a dvd read drive and a dvd write drive, making the decrypting to hard drive step unnecessary.
By setting dvdclone to preserve menu and only choosing the movie titleset, I have acheived my goal of "menu/movie-only" backup, in a one button setup.

The problem here is that a good number of DVD's won't FIT on a DVD-R.
You have two or more steps needed to copy a disc.
1. Ripping.
2. Shrinkage (if necessary).
3. Burning.
Now, step 3 can be done with any ol' program (I just don't recommend Nero since many versions of it give many people problems with DVD Video). Step 1 can be done by a standalone program or as part of whatever tool you use to do steps 2 and 3.
If you have a DVD5 disc, which means it'll fit on a blank with no compression or anything, you can use DVD Decrypter to copy the disc. End of story, and it's free. Alternatives are AnyDVD, SmartRipper, etc.
If you have a DVD9 disc, you'll need to shrink the movie some. This gets complex, and many people have different opinions. May I suggest you READ some of the old posts and guides? Hmm?

Yeah, I am not sure which is the best way to go. Maybe I should wait a little longer and wait for prices to drop.

Prices on Scenarist will NEVER be affordable. $30k is a bit excessive. Even $10k is ... um ... absurd.
Let's leave the debate about Scenarist out of this thread, it inevitably devolves into some of us saying that "The Big 3" is essentially an attempt to legitimize piracy... and others getting ALL bent out of shape over it.
