I'm having the same problem. Everytime I put a DVD in my CDrw
drive, it won't read it. Is anyone less clueless ?

  6. I'm not sure what the question is here, but to the best of my knowledge & experience with my own equipment, you can't read a DVD in a CDRW. You can read CDs in a DVD reader, but not the reverse. go buy a DVD reader then try it.

I can see why the 'real' posters ask for your process & end goal. It helps a lot to know what you are trying to do and how you are trying to do it before somebody else starts trying to figure out what you are doing wrong.

  7. DoggieDaddy the jokes are because of the CDRW part, and asking a question that's basically the purpose of this site (ie. covered in all the guides). I mean hell people even ask "what is a VCD" after all

    1) Make sure you have a DVD-ROM drive
    2) D/load DVD2SVCD (http://dvd2svcd.doom9.net)
    3) Read the guides for this program either here or at http://www.doom9.org
