  1. Is there a quick way to add a simple menu when joining TWO movies together? I don't mind the quality loss on some comedies so I often put two movies together on one disc- I just hate having to forward to the end of the first movie to get to the second one.. A simple "MOVIE A" OR "MOVIE B" menu would rock but most authoring apps (dvd it!, nero vision, etc) freak out with the transcoded files...Any other ideas?

  2. You could use a 'simple' dvd authoring program like Spruce Up.

Does DVD shrink make two title sets (ie VTS_01_1.vob, etc n the VTS_02_1.vob,etc) or does it chuck both movies into 1 title set ?

You could make a 'generic' menu that you could copy n paste into your video_ts folder and overwrite the originals

DVD2one and dvdshrink both create 2 title sets (vts_01_* and vts_02*)... How do I create this generic menu? Everytime I dump the VOBs into an authoring app something goes wrong (I tried renaming them to .mpg - helps sometimes, othertimes I get a msg. saying that the file is not "dvd compliant")... I admit to being a newbie.. no shame in that

  4. Well TMPGenc DVD Author program 30 day trial (Link on left) will let you add titles from a DVD.

Thus you can first add title one into one title on TMPGenc, then add title two to a different Title.

Do your edits, cuts & chapters.

    Make a menu

    Author

    Burn

    Done

You can even use it to split a dvd for no quality loss by adding the title, using the cut function to cut ending from first part, author, add the title and cut first part out, add any extras, Author

Or you can use it to cut out all but the parts you want and create compilation type DVDs, usefull for music concert DVDs where you only want the music that you want on the DVD.

    Good Luck

I've tried TMPGenc dvd but I get an error message stating that the bitrate on the .vob files are too high for DVD usage.. Odd, I know..

  6. Use DVD Patcher from on left to lower rate and see what happens.

    It shouldn/t affect playback

    Cheers

  7. Hi all.

freedomsbeat, this is probably not the answer you expected, but do you know you can access the different titles without having to fast-forward.
Simply use the "Title" button (or equivalent) on your remote control.
You can with DVD Shrink but I'd guess with DVD2One too.
