  1. Can anyone suggest a progtam that will convert my Divx file with VBR audio. Tempeg wont do the job its fine with CBR but thats it.

  5. I have tried Virtualdub mod it will convert both audio and video but it allways puts it out of sync

    Oh, sorry. I use Ulead stuff as well as the temp/Vdub combo. Never came across any files they wouldn't take. And haven't had any synch problems.

    Some other s/w I've tried would not live happily on my set-up.

    They have trial versions if you want to have a go with them. :c)

    You're welcome. Have you done your searches here? There are tons & tons of audio/video synch threads running. Enough to keep anyone reading for a long. long time. :c)

    I hope you find a reasonably easy solution. I know it can be maddening. :c)

    Use the decompressor from AVI2VCD to decompress your DivX file,then load that large uncompressed file into Tmpgenc and process as normal.
