    Hi.

I tested the demo of DVD-lab a bit. However it doesn't support my writer (NEC ND-1300A). Which software shall I use to burn the DVD-lab compiled stuff to DVD? It should just burn, not author since this is done by DVD-lab.

BTW ... I used the search feature, but this subject seems to be so trivial that nobody mentions it.

    Many thanks!

I've used RecordNow DX (came with my Sony burner), and worked great.

One thing I've noticed with DVD-lab -- if the DVD project is just barely too big to fit on the DVD, DVD-lab may act like it is going to burn it, but then it just sits and never completes the burn. Once I downsize the project, then DVD-lab burns fine.

I burn with Nero 5.5 in DVD mode.

Go to www.mediachance.com for latest versions.

  6. @geohei,

Hi, I have a 1300A and use DVD-LAB. I find it depends on the media. Sometimes DVD-LAB will burn after compile other times no go. (ie Datawrite Classic x2 no, Verbatim yes) When it wont burn I use nero (which came with the writer), no problems, works ok.

Nero 5.5.10.28, in DVD-Video mode. Never a problem with a burn, even on dirt-cheap Khypermedia blanks.

Thanks for all the answers. Gonna have a look at Nero and RecordNow DX. One more question - does Roxio WinOnCD 6 support burning of previously authored (with DVD-lab) DVDs. A friend of mine who owns it says no, but he wasn't sure.

    Can someone confirm this?

    TIA

The Wizard of RecordNow DX suggests to drag the VIDEO_TS folder to the burn surface, not the AUDIO_TS folder. However after the burn process is finished, the AUDIO_TS folder also appears on the DVD. How do you explain this?

Besides that, is the video DVD a "normal" data DVD which contains the folder AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS?

    TIA

The two folders are part of the DVD spec, so RecordNow is simply being 'smart' to create a DVD-compliant burn.

The AUDIO_TS folder is for a DVD-Audio disc -- don't know much about it, but I'm sure you can find info in the forums...
