  1. Hi.

I wonder if anybody has had the following problem after converting a avi file to dvd and burning.

On my Toshiba DVD player the burnt DVD picture seems to wrap itself horizontally across the TV screen. By this I mean what should be the right hand side 3 or 4 inches of the picture actually appears ont he left hand side of the screen. With the rest of the picture moving across three or 4 inches also.

I play the same DVD on my PS2 and another DVD player and they are both fine.

Has anybody else had this problem or kinow a solution?

    Many thanks.

  2. What's the resolution of the encoded MPEG file?

  3. Are the PS2 and other DVD player on the same TV?

If so, than maybe your Toshiba DVD player can't read your media or your MPEG properly? was it DVD specs?

<< check the DVD Players Compatibility List to see probs others had with your player.

  4. Resolution of the MPEG is 480*480.

The PS2 and the other DVD player are both on different TV's?

Can the TV be an issue?

That is not a valid resolution for DVD, it is SVCD resolution. Not all DVD players will handle this properly when used in a DVD, it appears your Toshiba is one of them. Not a lot you can do about it except re-encode/resize to a valid DVD resolution.

Nothing to do with the TV.
