I am doing this at home right now. I bought a Linksys 4 port DSL/Cable router
(When I bought it, is was aroung $100, I'm sure they are much cheaper now.)

    Cable into cable modem.
1 Ethernet cable from modem into router.

1 Ethernet cable from router to Mac G4
1 Ethernet cable from router to Dell Laptop
1 Ethernet cable from router to PC

Everybody has internet as is happy

  3. Its very simple. Just buy a router (~$80) and it should come with the necessary cables (ethernet) for one computer, and for others you have to buy more.
