Hi,
I'm using DVD Shrink to backup a DVD with 3 audio tracks i.e. German 6 channel AC3, English 6 channel AC3 and English 2 channel Stereo.
When I've re-authored the DVD with only the english options selected, i get no sound. If I include the german track, the sound is present and I can change the language using the DVD player remote.
I've just tested this with german on it's own and it runs with sound so there is something in the config which means that the german track HAS to be included on the DVD in order to get any sound at all. I really want to ditch the german channel altogether to save some space.
Has anyone come across this problem before ?

If you run the DVD you generated, although it has no sound select another audio track and it will play in English. Unfortunately DVD Shrink has a bug in that if the first audio track is removed it doesn't automatically revert to using the second audio track as the primary sound track.
I pointed this out to the writer of the software and he promised to correct it in the next version. In the meantime you'll have to settle for using DVD2one (which does do audio sound track reselection) or something similar to do the job.Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity.
