I wouldt like to use a scene in
my dvd to put on the internet
is there a thing where you can
cut pieces out of DVD to use.
If Not can you edit my DVD on
the Windows Movie Maker my
DVD is a mix of VOB, BUP and IFO files

Please don't cross post. One topic is enough.

You can use dvd2avi, flaskmpg, vidomi, dr. divx, virtualdubmod and open all vobs and select a part and save as avi,divx,xvid.

If your movies has chapters, you can use smartripper to extract certain vob files.

If you just want a short portion of the movie, the easiest for me is DVD to DIVX. It's a 'tad' complicated to setup (if you don't read the tutorial), but is straight forward. Once your movie showing you can just slide to where you what to start ripping and push record, then push stop when you're ready to end. The output file can be just about anything you want (avi, mpeg1, mpeg2, etc.)
