I've had one for about a month. It's a good drive, silent and fast. It's rather picky about the media though - Princo 4x -R media only burn at 2x, Memorex 4x +R burn at 4x and Ritek 4x -R media (from what I remember, I only burned one) burn at around 2x to 2.4x.

All I can say is WOW what a great drive. Ten different media types mixed -R/+R and 4 different -RW/+RW media all gave 100% success rate playing back on 9 Burners, 3 Roms, and 4 DVD players. That success so far is only matched by the 106. It saw a couple of 4x -R media as 2x obviously as the media id is unknown and it used a default setting, but the burns still came out fine.

The DVD-RAM is nice, and now replaces my Matsushita DVD-RAM drive that only uses 2.6GB/5.2GB caddy discs. This drive uses either 4.7GB single sided or 9.4GB double sided media. The DVD-RAM media straight out of the shrink wrap and inserted into the drive is seen by Windows XP as a valid 4.7GB partition and can be quick formatted using windows standard HDD format. Formatted it as FAT32 and that process takes a whole 2 seconds. Then as its FAT32 no packet software installed at all, you can just drag and drop to it like a Hard disk drive at 3x speed. Try that on your RW media !! I have always liked and used DVD-RAM and this one rocks and is fast.

    Pros.
    Supports all current formats, -R/RW +R/RW RAM CD-R CD-RW
    DVD-Multi drive
On A300 firmware all burns tested were very compatible.
Compatible with all +R/RW media tried.
Very reasonably priced unit, given its features.

    Cons
Busy LED on shows green for read and write which is just a little criticism.
DVD-R media list needs to be extended to cater for the massive number of media
now out there, which will happen with updates I suppose.
Found it difficult to find firmware updates, eventually found under CD-RW, hmmm

    Recommendation
    Very high

This drive is fantastic. Only problem I've ever had with it is the occassional disc incompatibility issue. For some odd reason, it won't burn on TDK-RW discs. I can't figure out why. Also, it won't burn on GQ 1x -RW discs, but those are crappy quality generics anyways. Other than that issue, the drive works great! I'd recommend this drive highly to anyone that's considering getting it.

  5. Had this drive for about 1.5 months, burned about 30 disc without a single coaster. Only used DVD-R's and DVD-RAM so far and haven't had any problems. Burned Taiyo-Yuden (TY01) FujiFilm at 4X, Princo 1x at 1x, and BeAll 1x at 2x.... All with DVDShrink and Nero. Highly recommended.

Thank's guy's, I have bought one, no coasters yet, but unable to burn a 4X
    with Printco media.

Wont overburn like my Liteon burner does with 90 minute CD'R's.

Apart from that seems to be a good buy!
