dvd burning problem

i am tryin to burn this movie using the latest version of Nero and i used the dvd-video and the dvd-rom(udf/iso) settings and when i put both dvds in my dvd player, it wont play at all. i have the optorite dvd burner and using memorex dvd-r 4x dvds to burn. is there any other way to fix this problem? any other programs i should use?

Does the player detect the disc and THEN not play ?

Could be a media problem, or even that your player will not play -R / +R. Not all do...

when i put in the dvd in my player, it will jus say "search" but never does anything else. the dvd works fine on my computer. it might be the media because i used verbatim and it works fine. i can only write at 2x with these memorex and 4x with the verbatim dvds.. are there any other programs i can use besides nero? you think it might be that i have the new nero version also? i was using nero v5 something..

i have the VIDEO_TS folder with all the files already on my computer, im lookin for a program that all i have to do is burn the VIDEO_TS folder on the dvd and it will play on my dvd player. i did it that way with my verbartim dvds with nero and it worked fine. anybody know a site that has all the older versions of nero?

just out of curiousity, did you put an AUDIO_TS folder in with the compliation.....Even though its empty its still required because of compatibility...SasArchiver...i use nero it works fine...

yea i also put the AUDIO_TS folder in there, what version of nero are you using?

I had similar problems with my Optorite burner (disks used: Ritek 4x DVD-Rs)
Other people are also complaining about the burner. In my case the disks do not play on Norcent DP300.
People are suggesting that on this burner, use DVD+R and not DVD-R till the firmware is fixed. There might be a workaround also for DVD-Rs:
