Duped a DVD, play 3/4 of the Movie and the Stops / Skips????

System Specs:
Winxp Pro with SP1A
LG GSA-4040B DVD Writer
Pengo DVD-R Media
Apex AD 1500 DVD player

Used Clone DVD with ANYDVD to Dupe a Movie, All seemed to work fine - no error reported. Tested the final product on the Computer and then on my Apex AD 1500 DVD player (with the exception of erratic Menu control) it plays fine until I get near the end (of course when its reaching it's climax) and then it starts to stop and skip. (I also have trouble skipping ahead in chapters it will stall. So who's the culpret My player , Writer or media? I'm kinda new to DVD burning are there differn't colors like CD's ( I tend to use Silver for Compatability) these Pengo's are Dark blue. TIA

It may be the media, but before you change media, try burning at a slower speed. 1x if possible. If that does not work, then I suggest you change media.

Ok I checked clone DVD but it gives me no option to change the record speed., I'll try with nero or is there a better program to use to burn images? BTW where can I get a break down on the differance in media color (like on CD's Gold good for audio, Silver for compatability, etc)

well that didn't help, same problem, of course the only local media availbe is Verbatem or Memorex, I have heard bad things about Memorex DVD media and returned a 50 pack of their CD-R media after 3 of them in a row failed to record anything. Any adivce?
